Hello dear readers!
I have been writing away and struggling here and there. I was stuck for the longest on the third book because there is so much sadness and loss from the start and I wanted something else for our Stoney Creek residents. But when you write, the story sometimes tells itself anyway. That being said, I have broken through that block and feel very encouraged now as the story continues. I want so much from this 3rd book for all of you that enjoyed the first two! I want it to be very special. With that said, I expect it will be ready around the end of October. Thank you for waiting! I wanted to tell you more about the writers block I had with Rose but her story will wait so you have something to look forward to. I cried my way through the words, it was that painful and yet sweet when the final words of that chapter emerged. This following excerpt is from a talk between C.J. and Joshua, he makes her understand that life can take us so many different directions but our hearts keep us connected to those we love. The power of love is all through this book.
“Cassidy Jane smiled up at him. He was her best friend too and her heart would always be happy wherever he was. She thought of the Book of Ruth as she watched him drive his buggy away on his rounds. Rose would always be a friend of her heart, a sister given by grace. But Joshua would be her husband and she would love him as long as she drew breath. She recalled a passage she had read a few nights ago before bed.
“Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the LORD do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you.”
